The wooden horse was inside the gates when Sinon was sure he performed the signal and the Greeks came out of the wooden horse. They slaughtered the Greeks and King Priam was dead. Menelaus then went in search of Helen he thought that she was most likely to be in Deiphobus's ,Paris's only brother that was alive, house. When he arrived at the house he found Deiphobus dead and bloody footprints leading in the hall. Menelaus followed it and found Odysseus leaning against a column. Menelaus threatened him that if he was hiding Helen then Odysseus asked for the favor Menelaus promised earlier and requested that he spare Helen's life. Helen then came out of the corner she was hiding in and kneeled at his feet. He then saw through her betrayal and dropped his sword and hugged her. Andromache was taking as a slave by the Myrmidons and Hector's son lay dead he was thrown off the ramparts. The Trojan women were taken as slaves except Helen she returned as Queen. The 10 years of war have finally ended.
"There is no honorable to way to kill, there is no gentle way to destroy. There is nothing good in war. Except its ending"- Abraham Lincoln After Paris died Helen was still not returned to Menelaus since the Trojans feared that she will face death if she was returned to him. The Greeks tried to attack the Trojans once again but they were stopped by the arrows that were shot by the Trojans. When the Greeks tried to get into the gates they were killed by either giant rocks or spears. The Greeks then looked towards the soothsayer then he told the Greeks about the hawk and the dove. That the Greeks must use cunning than using strength. Then Athene planted an idea in Odysseus's head which he was very famous for. Odysseus told the Greeks the plan and Sinon volunteered to stay behind and trick the Trojans into thinking that the Greeks have left and they left to go home. Before they went any further Menelaus puled Odysseus aside and told him that if this was accomplished that he would owe him a favor. Some of the Greeks entered the wooden horse which was very important to the plan Odysseus devised. When the Trojans saw the horse and then the priest of Poseidon warned them that the horse was probably a trick made by the Greeks. Then a serpent killed Laocoon's sons died and then the priest himself died. Sinon then told them a false story and got the Trojans to bring the wooden horse into the city walls. Cassandra warned the Trojans that if they brought that wooden horse into the city walls it would be the end of Troy but no one listened her.
